Sustainer insatllation on H-S-H Guitar! HELP!!!

Hi there,

I'm new to you forum and I really need you Help!!!

I've got a custom guitar with the following hardware:

1) Evolution Bridge
2) YJM Middle
3) Evolution Neck
and 4) the Double Edge-Pro (you know...the one with the L.R. Baggs Piezo)

So... I also wanted to install a Fernandes sustainer on my guitar and I have already bought the "FSK-401 Fernandes sustainer kit" (it's the one with the singlecoil driver not with the humb/FSK-101).

The reason that I have bought the sustainer kit with the singlecoil is that I didn't want the to use the Fernades singlecoil as a pickup too (I only wanted it for a driver).

Since I want to install the sustainer I'll have to uninstall the "Evolutin Neck" pickup and instead of using a pickup that doesn't have the sound I prefer, I decided to do the following... I've also bought the Dimarzio "Super Distortion S" (something like the "Fast Track", which works like a Humb in the size of a singlecoil) and thought of placing the 2 singlecoils (the Fernandes driver and the "Super Distortion S") side-by-side, where the "Evolution Neck" is.

And now... we've got a problem... when the sustainer is "on" the bridge pickup is selected, but when it's "off"... I want to use my 5-way pickup selector as if I didn't have a sustainer installed!

What do I mean? I mean that, I want the "Super Distortion S" to work like a usuall humb (as the "Evolution Neck" did) and to have the usuall pickup combinations every H-S-H guitar with a 5-way selector has and also to have the Fernandes sustainer driver only for driver use only (only for the sustain thing).
In other words, I want the sustainer pickup to work only when the sustainer selector is "on" and when it's "off", I want the guitar to work as if there is no sustainer circuit on it!

Can anyone help me with the wiring...? PLEASE...

I have teh sustainer and before I ordered it I checked the schematics for kinda th esame thing you want ( I wanted that and more cancelling out between the evo alnd the muddle hum)....like Eric Johnson...

I broke my head and could not come with an elegant solution I ended having the 5 position switch in stock form....
If you want that you will need to put another switch to cahnge Between the Sustainer pup and the single coil size humbucker....
In my humble the sustainer pick up is not that bad, sounds alot like a strato pup....

I've already thought of that, but it would be my last solution!
There's a hell of knobs and potensiometers (4 knobs and 4 potensiometers) on my guitar, so one more would be very difficult to fit in!

If I don't find any other solution though... I'll do it that way!
