Swapping the tone pot for a kill switch. How do I do it?

Hey guys, Wiring a killswitch here. Is there an easy way to do it from taking the wires off the Tone Pot and putting them on the kill switch? I bought a little 2 way switch at radioshack and it fits perfectly. it has 2 connectors. Ive never installed a killswitch on a guitar with 2 humbuckers coil-splitting and a 5 way switch. Please help me find the easiest way. Thanks! They are dimarzio/IBZ's btw.

I assume you meant a little on-on lever, so this should help

The kill switch should be across the output jack. This is the earh and centre tag of the volume pot. The tone control is acros the earth and end tag of the pot. So I think you may need to move the connection fron the end (not the earth end) to the centre tag.

i put on on my guitar. all you need to do is connect one wire from one lug on the switch to the ground on the top of the volume knob and the other switch lug to the center pul pot on the volume know. dont bother messing with the tone knob. just leave it turned up and put in in your guitar.

No effectively all you're doing with the kill switch is shorting out the guitar lead/output (if you just disconnect the output you'll get hum).
It just needs to go between the hot and earth on the jack or the centre tag and earth on the volume pot (same thing) you don't need to disconnect anything, and then when the switch closes...

dont mess with the in put / out put jack. you will get that horrible ringing you get when you plug in your guitar with the amp turned on
