Taking EMGs from EMG KH-21

so I found a pretty good deal on a used EMG KH-21. I should be able to just take all the peices out of it and put it in my RG (might not be able to use the solderless system) but I can just install both pickups as if I got them out of a box (i.e. using the soldering method)? this is for my RG370.

Should work just fine (not sure about coil tapping - I think you need a different EMG pickup to give you the extra wires).

Bear in mind the EMGs don't need the ground wire to the bridge.

well, the KH21 has a 3-way switch included, so I'd be taking out my 5-way and replacing it with the 3-way. I'm looking at the pictures on the EMG site, and I don't see why it woudln't work, I'd have to take it all apart. But its hard to tell about the pots that come with it, are specific to that kit or not.

oh, good point.. So when I switch to these, I'll need to use a 1/4" stereo cable instead of the standard mono ones?
