Testing of Old Dimarzio X2n & HFH

i have a deal for the 2 above mentioned humbuckers

X2n and the Humbucker from hell.

these are quite old as im told..(like 15 yrs old)

but the owner says they still sound great..however they have been removed from the guitar itself.

so i'm stuck with a multimeter to test them.

I would appreciate a quick run down on how to set the multimeter and which wires to touch

(i'm assuming they both are 4 conducters)

joint the white and black wires and measure DC resistance from red to green.
check the resistance against the resistance spec from dimarzio..
