For my Explorer, Super 3 bridge to go with the Air Norton in the neck. I coil split the neck pup.

For my new Gibson Cherry V, a covered 36th Ann. Paf in the neck and a Black Super Distortion in the bridge. Pure 80's rock/metal goodness. I will coil split the neck pup on this as well.

I'm very intrested in the Super 3 in the explorer. It's bright for a Gibson due to the ebony fretboard. I think the Super 3 will balance well. I hope the lead tone is nice. It came down to a Sup 3 or Evo2 and I already have two guitars with Evo's in the bridge.

I love that pickup, have it in two guitars and the only reason I didn't put it in the V was because I wanted to keep it more vintage sounding.
