The V1, S1 and V2

Hey guys

I recently purchased the V1, S1 and V2 whole set for $20.00.
I figured it was a deal that I could not pass up.
I never really see these around much, only the higher number V's....

Now I was trying to find out the specs, reviews and such on these pick ups.
All I seem to find is the V7 and V8 writings.
Does anybody here know anything review wise about these pick ups?

Also I'm going to rebuild an RG 550 and use these for stock.
Would any body here be kind to show me or e-mail me a wiring diagram as well?

Cheers my brothers

Squeeg

Re: The V1, S1 and V2

That combo is what I have as the stock pickups on my '91 RG570. Here's a clip of the bridge pickup (V2) through a v-amp-2 with a lot of distortion. The guitar is tuned drop D-flat (not my usual, but that's what this one happens to be.)

Yeah, the music is flawed, but you get an idea about the pickup. It's a little muddy/indistinct for my tastes (even discounting the drop D-flat tuning), though it gets the job done.

BTW, in case anybody wants to collaborate on that track, see: http://www.forums.myvirtualband.com/read.php?12,4279 (I'm SteveC there.)
