this may sound weird but...

is it better to use the same brand of pickups for all three postions in a h/s/h configuration or can you use different brands with no drawbacks?

sorry for asking a stupid question

Use whatever pickups you think sound best...its all about personal taste man! The only thing I wouldn't reccomend is mixing actives (EMGs, for example) and passives (EG Dimarzio's), cus there hard to wire and you would get a big volume difference when switching from one to the other. Apart from that...do what pleases your ears and your wallet
-better shred than dead-ANDY
