Tone Zone/Norton Hybrid

Has anybody made a hybrid of a TZ and a Norton? What does it sound like?I was thinking about using the hot coil of the TZ and the stud coil of the Norton to make a hybrid and wondered if anyone here had tried it.I want a pup thats right between the TZ and Norton but, more on the TZ side.

Re: Tone Zone/Norton Hybrid

well the Norton is a mix between a Tone Zone and a Fred.... so I dunno...

you should try an Air Zone or an Air Norton in the bridge position.

those would be your best bet in the Tone Zone/Norton area

I'm not looking for a big cut in output or even a huge change in tone, just a slight change to get closer to what I want.I love the TZ but wish it was slightly more open sounding and had just slightly sharper highs.
