total bloody noob needs help

what can i say, i dont have a clue! i play rgs and pgms and im lookin to upgrade a couple of my rgs, i settles with pickups, but now im seeing a whole world of pots and different wire

currently my benchmark is www.singlecoil.com

but this seems to be geared towards strats

can i consider an rg to be a strat? i mean its pretty far removed

does anyone have any useful references?

and what is it possible to do with a push pull pot? volume boosts? pickup splitting? i just dont have a clue!

What are you trying to accomplish by modding the guitars?
The wire and pots in Japanese RGs and PGMs is probably decent quality, I would replace Korean ones.

RGs are more or less superstrats, they arent that far removed from Fenders design.

Some of the stuff seems silly, but some of it is intersting.

Just read through the following threads throughout this "pickup" section.....There is virtually endless information here from a huge number of VERY knowledgeable guitar players on this site. I didn't know squat about that stuff till I sat and read through all the threads here....Now I can wire and change things on my guitars with ease....Enjoy the endless library before your eyes!
