V2 Humbucker DC Resistance Question

First time using a multimeter, I think I got it right, it reads 8.6. Is that right for this pickup? Should it be higher?

Hey there, I'm no expert, but from my notes that I found [probably here on jemsite.]... my V2 reads about 16 when I use the red and bare wires. And about 8 when I use the white and bare, as well as the red and white. [My V2 has white, red and bare wires.] My measurements aren't terribly accurate, as I don't have a digital readout... going old school with an analog needle!

You may be just reading a single coil.

Pickup Resistance: how to measure

Put the red lead from you multimeter on the red pickup lead, temp. wrap the black and white together and then put the black lead on the green pickup lead.

DiMarzio wiring from their pdf:
Std wiring: connect blk & wht together, red is hot, green and bare are ground.
