V7/V8 humbuckers with a 3-way switch?

Hi there. Recently I've become pretty decent at soldering and wiring work, but I can't figure this one out. I've got an '85 Ibanez Proline V with an H/H configuration that I'm installing V7/V8 humbuckers into. Each pickup has the following wires: red, white and bare (ground).

How do I install this onto a three-way switch? My guess would be to solder the red wire from each pickup the left and right posts. But what do I do with the white wire from each pickup?

Hoping for some help... Thanks.

Just leave the white wires unsoldered. Put some tape over any exposed wire. Although you could in the center position wire it so you get one coil from each pickup in parallel. Which would sound nice.

Or throw in a push-pull pot to coil-tap both pickups, yielding a total of six different tones just from two humbuckers.

Ok, thanks guys.

And if I just wire the red and leave the white unhooked (or hook it to center) then when the pickup selector is on the bridge or neck I'm going to get a full humbucker sound, right? It's not going to be single coil? Just making sure.

Re: V7/V8 humbuckers with a 3-way switch?

right if you leave the white unconnected in thebridge it's full humbucking, middle is both humbuckers in parallel (with standard 3-way Tele style wiring) and neck is humbucking. I don't know exactly where you would connect the white wires for center split though. There must be a diagram on the web somewhere. Actually I think that's what the IBZ JPM model does but he uses a toggle switch rather than a blade switch.
