What about shielding?

After installing new 'Evolution' p'ups along with a twin bar Super distortion in the middle, and two toggles for coil taps, there seems to be some grounding hum when I split the p'ups. I want to add more shielding (only the cover has it now) but was wondering would I just use it to line the cavity or would it help to wrap some around the wiring too? Any help would be welcome.

Re: What about shielding?

if you split either of the pickups there will be single coil hum . if you have both split running at the same time and still get hum you can switch either of the pickups phase. Take either of the pickups and instead of soldering the green and bare together and using the red as hot , take and solder the red and bare together and use the green as the hot wire . the pickups will run out of phase and you wont get hum when both are split at the same time . You'll still get hum if only one pickup is split at a time , because your actaully taking the humbucker and making it a single coil .
