What bridge pickup on a basswood body

should I get to get something similar to this sound?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=El1mA...elated&search=

Trans-siberean orchestra's Christmas in Sarajevo. I love the lead tone and I want a bright edgy sound like this. So which bridge pickup should i get? Duncan JB, Dimarzio super distortion, X2N? I really have no idea about pickups since i haven't tried any. I'm going to order the pikckup over the internet so i can't try it, but i can sell it for the same price i got it and order a new one if i dont like it
thank you anyways

EDIT: the guitar is a MIJ Ibanez RG

Re: What bridge pickup on a basswood body

All the clips I've heard of the tonezone were not what I'm looking for. Chris Cafferey from Trans-siberean Orchestra has a really trebly tone which has an "edge" to it. I can't really explain it. That's why i posted the video. From what I've heard so far, I think the X2N or the JB would do it but I didn't get enough feedback about them so I didn't want to risk it so i posted here

JB should do it. X2N might a bit much, it's very powerful.

Re: What bridge pickup on a basswood body

I just realized i posted this in the wrong section. Sorry guys! I guess this will be moved soon.
Back on topic: Would the D Activator, D Sonic or the Mo' Joe give me a similar sound? I got those suggestions from the Dimarzio website (pickup finder) but from the specs and tone guide, I'm guessing only the D Activator is suitable for that style. What do you guys think?

He's not looking for a TZ. Why anyone bothers to keep recommending it after he's said so, I have no idea.

D-Sonic would sound pretty good, should give pleanty of treble without it being harsh.

Re: What bridge pickup on a basswood body

^^ That might be a good choice, as the D-Sonic is able to be mounted with the blade towards the bridge or with the pole pieces towards bridge for two different sounds. I would also maybe look at the Evolution, it's got pretty strong high's.

The D-sonic's versatility is what actually made me interested in it. As for the Evo, I've heard it, and while I really loved it's sound, I don't think it would work for me. It could work for a LOT of things i play, but I also like playing prog rock and metal, and it didn't suit me

Thanks guys. I appreciate the input. Looks like it's a D-Sonic for me

I will. I'm gonna try to post some audio clips too since my new soundcard is hopefully coming with the pickup

Re: What bridge pickup on a basswood body

Good decision!
I love the D-Sonic in my 7 string, its a really good all round pickup. And being able to turn it around for a more mellow or more cutting sound is very useful.
