What Is Dimarzios Most Aggressive Alnico
Breed, Tone Zone, Norton? Also how does it sound in a Les Paul? If I was disappointed in the Breed for hard rock will I be disappointed in the others and need to go ceramic?

Eh, I love the Tone Zone as much as anybody but I didn't like it in my Les Paul. Too much bottom end for my LP.

It's not, it's a Ceramic magnet, as is the magnet in the D-Activator X.
The Tone Zone does indeed sound excellent IF you have a bright guitar, otherwise it gets too muddy.

The amp also has something to do with it. Plus your playing style.

I've never liked the Tone Zone really, I've always found it too muddy. I prefer the Fred and a bit more oomph from the amp

Me too. My favourite Dimarzio pickup of this ilk is the Norton.

Get a Rockfield Fatass instead. Its Alnico V, and kicks.

I went with a Super 3. I will post a review next week after I play it.
