You could try something like Norton (DP160) in the bridge with Virtual PAF Bridge (DP197) in the neck, and put a pull-pot like the one the JS to split the humbuckers.

+1 On the DP160 in the bridge. Air Norton in the neck is also very good.

PAF Pro hands down. Most versatile in my opinion. You can get a really nice blues tone (check out some of Satch's bluesier stuff), a nice jazz tone, a nice shred tone (listen to some old Vai with DLR, etc), etc. It's just a great pickup.

Re: What pickup do you recommend for all type of music?

I have the PP set, and I would say it fits all styles. I don't really know because my main style is black metal (with lots of chuga-chuga.. and the bridge pup will be a TZ soon enough)
However the pups give good response to most of the clean, overdrive, distortion, etc... and I'm pretty sure they would be the best choice for versatility.
However, you must remember that since this is somewhat of a compromise, some of the sounds won't be as-good or as-clear as they would be with different pups.

Re: What pickup do you recommend for all type of music?

i guess im going to put both paf pro on bridge and neck, ive read the specs on tone zone, it has too much bass, and what i mentioned about the body of sz its produce a lot of bass tone.. maybe its kind a like those fat tones of gibson... i guess pafpro is winning on this one! ty for all of your reply fellas thanks!

Uhmm.. I'm going to go out on a limb here and recommend the Seymour Duncan JB/Jazz combo. Nothing else has been proven to work in more varieties of music than the JB/Jazz combo PERIOD. It does blues, it does rock, it does Jazz and it does metal.

Yes, I don't know why I didn't mention the JB/Jazz. I was locked into DiMarzio for some reason.

because son_of_zion son_of_zion asked for dimarzios. About the paf pro the problem I have with it is that I don't like it's split sound at all.
