What's going on.

I just got my 7620 back yesterday from the shop that was rewiring it. I had a Evo7 put in the bridge and a AN7 in the neck wired up JPM style. I even gave them a copy of the JPM wiring diagram. They did not have a good amp to try it out on so I brought it home to check it with my setup. Before, with the stock New-7/Custom-7 pickup's, I could get a not too bad distorted sound out of my POD or my Mesa DC-3. Now with the new pickup's, and the POD and amp on the same settings, it is very much cleaner sounding and will not distort. Instead of the 3-way toggle switch, he put in a 3-way fender blade style switch. I checked out the switching and it is correct for bridge, split inner coils and neck. Does anyone have any ideas or is this to be expected? Thanks for the help.

And the second chapter begins. I now get a very good distorted sound when I turn on the Compression on the line 6 POD. With compression turned off, the sound is very little distorted, with it on it sounds very distorted. Does anyone know why this is.Through my Boss Metal Zone they scream.
