I just got my 7620 back yesterday from the shop that was rewiring it. I had a Evo7 put in the bridge and a AN7 in the neck wired up JPM style. I even gave them a copy of the JPM
wiring diagram. They did not have a good amp to try it out on so I brought it home to check it with my setup. Before, with the stock New-7/Custom-7 pickup's, I could get a not too bad distorted sound out of my POD or my Mesa DC-3. Now with the new pickup's, and the POD and amp on the same settings, it is very much cleaner sounding and will not distort. Instead of the 3-way
toggle switch, he put in a 3-way fender blade style switch. I checked out the switching and it is correct for bridge, split inner coils and neck. Does anyone have any ideas or is this to be expected? Thanks for the help.
