Which Pickup for all maple guitar?need advice

Hi everybody.

I need some advice.. i have a homemade strat guitar made of soft maple body with maple fingerboard/maple neck and a floyd rose.
The guitar has a humbucker in the bridge and a single coil in the neck.
right now This guitar sounds thin/shrill/very bright/trebly.
I am thinking of changing the pickups on this guitar. Do you guys have any pickup recommendations?
The sound i am looking for are Dream theater/Van halen/george lynch. a pickup that is big thick/meaty with lots of low end.

any advice/recommendation is appreciated.
thanks in advance

Tone Zone S on the bridge, Fast Track 1 neck and middle.

EMG85 bridge, and EMG SA in the neck. The SA solo sound reminds me of George Lynch's fluid sound, while the EMG85 sounds tight on the low end in a bright guitar (so good for Dream Theater) but has mid-range punch that lets you sound more Van Halenesque too.

Re: Which Pickup for all maple guitar?need advice

I had an all maple Kramer with a Floyd Rose trem. I installed a Norton (Steve Blucher suggested it), and I installed a series parallel switch for this pickup.

In series, it's nice and chunky, but with excellent definition. Highs are sweet, not harsh. Punchy mids. Lows are full and warm, no mud.

In parallel it sounds like a nice ballsy Strat. Also, with the Norton in parallel mode combined with the middle pickup gives the "Quack from Heaven"...I was amazed at how good it sounds!

The Norton is one of those do-it-all-VERY-WELL pickups, great for just about any style. (I'm serious!)

Good luck!

My RG-Art is amazingly bright with a maple top and maple board.
I can't decide if I should just mod my patches instead of changing the pups in her. The TZ is so much brighter in this guitar than my Basswood RG-550.

Just different.
It seems to lack punch.

Super 3, Tone Zone, or Breed in the bridge, Fast Track 2 in the neck.

Tone zone is already in there.
I'll look into the others that are mentioned.
Thanks!
