wiring diagram help HHH

Hi all

I need a superswitch wiring diagram (please) for the following

(All Dimarzio)

1 - Bridge alone
2 - One coil bridge, one coil middle (humbucking)
3- middle humbucker alone
4 - One coil middle, one coil neck (humbucking)
5 - Neck alone

If you have any combos you feel are worth trying (like one coil neck one coil bridge) please let me know. But, bottom line, I need help with the superswitch.

Bridge is TZ, mid is Protrack, Neck is PafPro

I've sent an email to support at Dimarzio.com and haven't heard back.

Muchas

http://www.dimarzio.com//media/diagrams/C.pdf

the only difference is you need a 5 way multi switch, not a regular 5 way switch and follow the same diagram, but in the 3 positions bridge over the middle section bot ground and both hots of the mid pup

thanks mate, but that doesn't answer my question at all. I have looked at that, and tried to figure out how that coincides with a superswitch. brain melt.

Re: wiring diagram help HHH

with a little jiggery pokery, this one should do it.
should give you an idea how the 4 pole switch works anyway - it basically has no internal jumpers/switching, you do that yourself.

Have a look at:
http://www.jemsite.com/forums/showthread.php?t=70976
post #2 I think that should cover what you want.
The diagram is for the Ibanez VLX91 switch, the super switch is the same but the layout is slighty different, the solder tags are round the circumference instead of at the sides, but, otherwise it's the same!

(Damn, somebody beat me to it!, and it's the same as my solution, curses!)

Thanks Jaden and Vim.

Re: wiring diagram help HHH

My lord, soldering these connections is driving me bananas... long wires, short wires...

Wonder if I should just wait for my Breed set from microdimitry.

Starting to miss a pickguard

Re: wiring diagram help HHH

Finally completed wiring this today. It doesn't look neat at all, but all pickups work as intended. Could have a grounding issue since if I let go of the metal parts, I get hum/buzz

I really like the protrack in the middle. It compliments the TZ (B) and PAFPRO I have quite well. Especially like the split coil tones. It is surprisingly louder than the JB Jr I used to have in there. I am surprised that it sounds so much like a humbucker as opposed to the single-coily sound of the JB Jr. The Protrack isn't very quacky.

Going to play around with it more. If anyone has questions, let me know.

Guitar is an RG570EX (basswood)

Re: wiring diagram help HHH

Damnit, now that I've covered the control cavity, I've noticed that all coils (all 6) are sometimes on. Probably because some wires are touching each other now that they're all pressed into each other.

Rhymes with Duck, this...

Re: wiring diagram help HHH

Finally works out.... Still waiting for my new pups from Dmitriy, but that'll come.

Next question, can I replace my tone pot to be a pushpull, with the result that pos 1, 3 and 5 are tapped (bridge, mid, neck)?

Re: wiring diagram help HHH

If you connect the coil tap leads that go the the 5 way to the push pull pot as well, and the other side of the push pull pot to earth, that'll do what you want.

Re: wiring diagram help HHH

The Ibanez Jem (according to the wiring diagram) uses a 0.022uF capacitor and a 500k log (audio) pot.
