I'm thinking about messing around with my RG350's wiring, and I'd appreciate some help before I do something stupid.
How would this work:
3 volume push/pulls, one for each pickup for coil tap or series/parallel
1 master tone.
5 way switch
How would I go about doing this? It seems like I would make some kind of illegal loop with all the volume pots going to the same tone pot. I haven't done very much wiring but this seems straightforward enough.
My pickups are
Evolution neck in the neck, Evo 2 in the bridge, and pro track in the mid. Should I use 250k pots or 500k pots, and what's the difference?
Should I use coil tap or series/parallel with my pickups? And would using either sound good with a single coil sized humbucker like the pro track? I've only been using coil taps so far because it is easier to wire, but I don't know much about series/parallel. And is it possible to split the neck and middle pickups at the same time with the same push/pull pot, and split the middle and
bridge pickups at the same time with another push pull pot?
Would 4 push/pull pots fit in the small cavity? And how would I drill a clean hole in my pickguard? I drilled a hole in a 3-ply pickguard before, but it looked terrible. I drilled it too small because I didn't have a large enough drill bit and thought I could sand it down to size. I sanded it for a good half hour before I could fit it in. >_<
Thanks.
