Wiring issue. Probably easy to fix. Help me real quick

Ok guys, replacing the stock bridge pup on my Ibanez S470 with a Dimarzio Paf Pro. Ive replaced pickups before but this is giving me a hard time.
Getting a bunch of feedback and the pickup just doesnt sound right(just snappy sounding. Its not like the common almost clean sounding problem.)
This is how I have it wired:
(view: guitar flipped over):

Green and bare to the ground on the volume pot.
Red to the third pole from the right on the switch
White to the last pole(8th) from the right
Black is just hangin around to be honest. Wherever I soldered it it didnt seem to change anything.

Any help would be great!
Thanks!

solder the black and white together.
if you have a problem after that leave the black and white together but remove them from the switch, dont let me ground anywhere through.
with the B/W together taped off the pickup should be running flat out in series no probs..
if it still sounds crap then give us more info..

I just tried both and now its not working at all. Ughh very little lead wire to work with. came with only like 2 and a half to 3. I think I might just put the old pickup back in and sell this one and buy one with more lead wire.
Thanks for the help though.

extend the leads on the pickup by soldering inline wires onto it..
