Wiring push/push pot and Soldering Kit Question..

Hi everyone -
Just a quick question.
I just received a jazz neck that i want to install in my guitar. I also want to replace my push/pull pot with a push/push.
I think i want to try it myself as i do want to pay another $60 to get this done.

Does this kit contain everything i need?

Also, would the wiring be the same for the push/push pot as the push/pull pot?

thanks

jeff

Re: Wiring push/push pot and Soldering Kit Question..

It looks like there's everything you need to get started on wiring except that you may want to get a small roll of electronic wire if you want to start getting some fancy wiring going. Wiring a push/push pot is the same as a push/pull pot. The only difference is the spring mechanism in which you change poles.

I probably wouldn't suggest using a push/push pot to select pickups unless you want to wire some sort of LED indicator to show you which pickup is active. (now that's a pretty cool/stupid idea I should try!)

some solder wick might be handy in case you need to unsolder something

and a wet sponge is always helpful for cleaning off the iron tip
