Would the Dimarzio EVO work for this guitar?

Hi folks.. I just traded for this guitar
http://www.chrisguitars.com/iban90sabre-custom-car.jpg
and it is an S series or sabre 540 I'm told.. I'm wondering if the EVO pickup used in the Jem I played would work in this guitar since the woods are different.. I understand that the Jem I played which was white had an alder body and that my guitar is made from Mahogany.. I'm wondering if I could get that same cool feedback / sustaining harmonics I got from playing the jem using the EVO in the bridge and then finding some Dimarzio single coils or stacked humbuckers to work with it?

Thanks
Tim
