Would this work? (wiring gurus please)

I'd like to wire up my guitar as follows. Just wondering if it will work.....

2 humbuckers
3 way Les Paul style switch
2 volume
1 push pull tone switch. (has 6 solder points on the switch part)

Hoping for three humbucker positions and then be able to pull the tone switch and have 3 single coil positions.
Should be do-able right? Anyone have a schematic I could use?

You can also 'improve' the wiring by soldering the tap wires of the neck PU to the other side of the DPDT, like it's already pictured with the bridge PU.
Then you'll also get the neck pickup in single coil mode when the pot is pulled, if that's what you're after.

And don't forget that the colors of the leads will differ when you're using Dimarzios instead of Duncans!

btw, that's a pretty weird toggle switch they used on the diagram, hmm.

Listen use the push pull to switch between two capacitors. One for a single coil sound without hum and one for a humbucker sound. It's far superior to splitting. A little experimentation will get you the capacitors you want.

Yes thats what I plan to do. Everything in split coil mode when the tone knob is out, and humbucking when the tone knob is in. The switch in the diagram looks just like the one thats attached to the push pull tone pot.

I've never heard of that. Does it really sound like a single coil?

Yeah it does. I have a .47microfarad for a strat sound and a .22microfarad for a humbucker sound. Works brilliantly. Very hard to wire though.
