You pick my pickups...

Okay , I've got yet another pickup selection to make and I'll let you all do it for me....

The guitar is a Neck thru Carvin, Mahogany body, maple neck with quilted maple top. Floyd rose bridge. Currently in place are Gibson classics with gold top covers.

Tone desired is a thick blend of Kirk Hammet scream with Satch's clarity and Vai's sustain (I know he's got a sustainer, but besides that)

Amp is A carvin V3 and Legacy w/ Carvin EQ and TC electronics effects.

I'll tell you right now I'm leaning toward the Tone zone, but I've also considered the DActivators and even the EMG 81's. Evo's were my first pick but I've heard spotty things about their tone when mixed with mahogany.

Let the games begin... and Thanks a tone.

Tone Zone + mahogany is a good combo. So is SD/JB.

I'll pick em if you have them shipped to my home.

On a serious note, I'm looking into a set of BNP Rebel Yells for a mohagany/maple cap axe. I was impressed with the Steve Stevens demo. The specs fall in the right range for heat too.
