A recent conversation with one of my friends:
Me: Dude, some of my friends said I was g@y because I like Dido.
Friend: Yeah, but you only like her because you wanna f*ck her.
Me: No, I really actually like her music.
Friend: Oh, that is pretty g@y.

The worst part, the friend I had this conversation with is actually g@y. Just for the record, there is nothing worse than being called g@y by a g@y guy. Nothing.
Needless to say, I don't really go around telling people I like Dido anymore...

I gave up shame in the divorce. I figured she didn't have any, she could just have mine

I think the "international" thing flew over my head. What did that mean?

Well, I guess I should clarify.
I don't usually tell people face-to-face.
But the nature of the thread topic dictated that I give it up.

I also have a reputation amongst my friends of playing the worst music possible when other people are around. I think I just like to torment my friends. I have about 15,000 mp3's on my computer, most of it really good music. Yet when my friends are around, I insist on playing horrible things for them to hear. Spice Girls, 80's Synth Pop, Honky Tonk. It drives them crazy.
I don't see what's wrong with Patrick Swazye's "She's Like the Wind"...
