1984 Volkswagen Rabbit??
Hey, there's a 1984 Volkswagen Rabbit Convertible for sale at a small dealer near my office. They repainted the body, it has 110,000 miles, don't know much else. I'm thinking about taking it for a test drive, for a beater to drive to and from work (3 miles each way). They want $1500 or best offer.
Does anyone here have experience with this or similar cars? Are they reliable, or easy to fix? I don't know much about autos, and I'm sure there will be some repairs needed soon after I buy it. I thought maybe this could be a good car to learn on, though. It won't be my only means of transport...
