Re: Best guitarist ever?

i really don't care about the "best" thang, but for exposure sake, Berelli Lagrene and Stochelo Rosenberg can be quite inspiring!!!

Re: Best guitarist ever?

The best in my mind and certainly my biggest influence has to be Paul Gilbert. He can just do so many styles seamlessly. From Sinatra's "Fly Me to the Moon" to "Children of the Grave." I think even if you don't like him too much you can still take a leaf out of his book.

Re: Best guitarist ever?

This thread could reach the 100 page mark.

There must be nearly as many 'best' guitarists as there are guitarists.......

Here's my vote for "not best" guitarist (aside from me of course): Neil Young. Anyone disagree?

+100000000 LOL

I don't get it. He sounds out of tune everytime I see him play, and he can barely hit a lick. He has this "cultish" type following.

I think the most complete guitarist around at the moment is definitely Guthrie.

Re: Best guitarist ever?

There are at least *insert member count here* better guitarists on this very forum than Kirk Hammett. He really is appalling.

Metallica wouldn't let him play on the first few albums
