Whomever came up with that 50/50 relationship crap was never married.
Marriage, as with all things, is rarely that cut and dry. Sometimes it's 80/20, sometimes 60/40. Sometimes, it's 95/5. The situation at hand dictates the appropriateness of the shift.
When it comes to yard work, it's more like 90/10 in my household (with me on the arse-end of the deal).
That's ok...I make up for it in other ways. Like whenever I decide I want to buy a new guitar, for example.
I rake some leaves and pull some weeds, my wife decides to be more charitable when I get G.A.S.
That's the way it works...probably in most marriages. 50/50 just ain't realistic.
