Help from someone with PS

So, I have this sweet idea that I want to make, but unfortunately I'm new to the whole PS game (I'm better with Macromedia Fireworks). However, in Fireworks you can't do what I'm trying to do.

We've all seen the iPod commercials with the person's silhouetter in black and etc... I'm trying to recreate that and I'm following the steps yet it keeps messing up for me; so I wondering if someone her would be willing to help me.

The image I'm trying to get the silhouette from is the guy actual jumping :

You still want the same color background? Or do you just want the guy jumping's silhouette cut out for your use where ever

Arg my photoshop is messed up on my pc, I know a bunch of others have it here.
I'll do it tmrw since I will be working with photoshop tomorrow probably, if someone does it before me then w/e

Crap sorry I didn't msg back, I haven't gotten to do it yet. I have been pretty bad with my migraines and my new medicine is giving me some side effects which should wear off my Dr says but have been keeping me from being able to do much so I haven't been able to access a pc with a working photoshop since the one on my pc is still acting funny.
