Re: Macs suck

Well....I do hate Macs..... We had several in a lab that I worked in...They slowed down for no reason, all of them (3) dumped their hard drive one month after the warrenty went out and there was limited software availible. Everyone were so frusterated by it that the 4 year old PC in the lab was the prefered computer. When it was time for new computers (because all the Macs hard drive died and they wanted $750 for each replacement for a $1200 computer new), no one wanted a mac....

I know people that swear by them...Maybe it is a Dog vs Cat thing...you are either a Mac guy or a PC guy and thats it. I love my VIAO....this is my third one (all lap tops, first one lasted 5 years before dying after I droped it, other 2 still in great shape) and have absolutely no complaints

Exactly, I had begun to crack my fingers, perparing for war.

I adore my iMac, hopefully I will have a MB or MBP in a year's time.

Wait 'till Glen sees this

Re: Macs suck

I was a Windows man until I got into video editing and graphics. Had to go Mac. That was a few years ago and I could care less if I ever saw another PC again. Macs rule.

I use both...macs are cool but don't beleive the hype. My PC is great. Depends on what you use it for.

I got into Final Cut Express and DVD Studio Pro 4....all I got was a load of very expensive hype - and some of my cheaper PC packages work alot better.

Macs look better and are more sturdy (and you don't have as many Virus/Spyware issues...but if I had to choose (for my needs, that is) I would go PC.

If I decided to open a recording studio running Protools, I would go Mac.
