My Trip to Tokyo (Pics Inside)

Hi guys,

While I was in Tokyo, I went to Ochanimizu. For those who dont know Ochanimizu is a district in Tokyo that focuses on selling musical instruments especially guitars and audio discography.

I was pretty much dissappointed, most of the items, even Japanese brands, are more expensive here than in Hong Kong.

The prices here are also rising, maybe because the area to starting to appeal to tourists, like myself, more and more which is part of the cause for my dissappointment

Pictures taken with my phone, excuse the focus quality on some.

Below are some samples of the pictures I've took(not necessarily the best). For all 68 photos go to my album @ http://s207.photobucket.com/albums/bb294/klp2332/

Sweet.

I love the hand written prices on the pedals. It really stood out to me.

Is that US money or Yen? I don't know really. Just a guess. Is it expensive?

That Joe Perry LP looks sweet! The price works out at roughly $2,500 US. Is that cheaper or more expensive than buying in the US?

That is very common in any Japanese shop...so is packing in as much product in a little space as possible. Those shops (espically in the cities) are about the size of a bedroom.

I need to go to Tom Lee Music in HK anyways later. I might take some pictures even in front of people I know, making me look lame, to let you compare the prices. Keep in mind that some of the BOSS pedals are Japanese made and some are not. You should be able to tell just by the price difference.

Re: My Trip to Tokyo (Pics Inside)

Pedals are not second hand. 95US for a DS-1 is considered expensive, however I believe that the one selling 95US is a Japanese made one. However some guitars are second hand, I believe.

Could not find J-customs, however I had only an hour there.
