wild night in the nhl tonight - Canucks come from behind to end the Wings home unbeaten streak (hate shootouts but the goal by Daniel with 16 seconds left was sooooo good ;o), Oilers beat the flyers (love it) and how about those Jets taking over 3rd place in the east...go figure eh ;o)

u know what really sucks (I know I've had this rant before but here it is again) there were 9 games in the nhl tonight and 5 were decided by shootouts...stupid shootouts!!!! at least extend the OT or something I AM SICK OF SHOOTOUTS!!!!! K, I'll stop now ;o)

yeah Devil and Canucks tonight...I hope there's no hangover from the big win against the Wings last night...both team have been playing well lately so it should be a pretty good game- hate those 4:30 PST starts though - I don't get off work until 5:30 so by the time I get home the game is 1/2 over...

OMG Jim - I think you have some sort of supernatural powers - it turns out that the Canucks plane got delayed in Detroit due to weather and de-icing and they didn't get into their hotel until the wee hours of this morning...that's remarkable - can you please wish that I come into money and get a J-custom this year ;o)

Devs finally got Zidlicky, though they likely could have used an extra D man tonight! I missed the game as I was out skating with my kids so I'll need to check the updates on nhl.com, I only know we lost 2-1

No love for the Sharks since you beat the Kings last year. But HEEEEY HOOOOOO! James Hetfield loves your team.

Kings face off against the Blackhawks tonight. Let's see if they can break that losing streak. I'll have to try and watch online. Is it on the new NBC Sports? NO! They're showing the poker championships. Real sport there.
And WINNIPEG in 3rd after the Panthers loose 4 straight! WTF?!? Let's see if they can pull it out against Carolina.
Well the Rangers are still kicking arse!

Wow! I need to call out the hockey gods on Jemsite again.
Kings win and Cats win. Cats back in 3rd in the east but the Kings slip to 9. Phoenix is on a hot streak it seems with that win against the Oilers. I think that streak might end as they face the Canucks on Tuesday.

Devs have lost 3 in a row, but have given up a total of 39 shots on goal in those 3 games? That's only the 5th time in the history of the NHL that a team gave up 39 or fewer SOG in a 3 game period. And I'm guessing it's the first time the team lost all 3 as well...

that is a pretty wild stat Jim, hard to believe they couldn't pull a win out of one of those games...nice thrashing of the Caps last night though...I'm hoping the Caps keep losing and the Jets keep winning - I really want to see the Jets make the playoffs...

Leafs players went from one cranky pants to another with going from Wilson to Carlyle...interesting to see what happens there - they're down 1-0 right now to the Habs...

I'd like to see the Jets in it too but (DAMN!) a fight for 3rd and 8th between the Cats and Winnipeg. I didn't want to see it turn out like that. I guess that's what happens when the Atlantic is so strong and the Southeast really isn't.
Canucks #1 in all the NHL?!? Can-you-believe-it?!?

I have a sneaky feeling the Kings will miss the playoffs entirely. Obviously I don't follow them like they were a home team but it seems to be a hangover of boring Terry Murray hockey.

that's a good point re LA cuz they have some good young talent but maybe the coach needs to let them go a bit more...but then I think that pretty much all hockey teams are overcoached these days - too many systems ruining the way the game should really be played imho...even in minor hockey - my nephew's hockey team was being taught and coached systems when they were like 12 or 13...stupid...

Yeah the SE division is kind of unique this year ;o) I really want the Jets to get in but I also think the Cats need to get in cuz that franchise really needs some success - it's not good for any team to miss the playoffs for over 10 years in a row...maybe Leafs fans can endure that ;o) but I think that's even worse in a market like Florida where hockey isn't the #1 sport in town...hopefully both the Cats and the Jets get in and the Caps don't ;o)
