I hear ya mike - Lou better have it together...I'd be happy with Schneider in net...he got a shutout tonight with over 40 shots...your kings won tonight and if the playoffs were to start tomorrow we'd be seeing a kings vs Canucks series....I'd rather your kings get the Blues or stars in the first round and take care of business with one of those teams ;o)

Sharks took another embarassing loss to the ducks last night. They really need a regulation win tonight against the Coyotes. Go Sharks!!! Do this!!

yeah I was suprised to see that the Sharks didn't bring it last night...tonight's game is really big now that they've lost the game in hand that they had...I'm curious to see how the Hawks do against the 1st place Blues tonight...

Another 1-0 game for my Canucks last night...gawd its a good thing I was working on my income tax return last night cuz that's about how exciting that Canucks game was...I hope that's not a preview of the type of hockey we're gonna see in the playoffs =0[

too many powerhouse teams - especially in the west - to assume anything yet...the western conference will be a dog fight this year...

even in the east - the Flyers are 3 - 1 agaisnt the Pens this year and the Pens just dropped 2 to the Islanders - they're good but they're human and they can be beat...

The Pens aren't going to go all out vs the Islanders, it's only a year ago they had that 300+ penalty minute game against them that also resulted in about 20 games worth of suspensions handed out. they are ready to go - they wouldn't chance anything with a team that is 11 points out with 6 games left. With Crosby back and Malkin on fire the regular season won't mean much either. If I were a betting man, the Pens would get my cash.

I am hearing there will be 4 different channels hosting the playoffs in the US, so that's going to be great

Looking forward to a lot of great hockey in HD.

Yeah, hate to say it but one big hit puts Crosby back in Eric Lindros concussion-land. The great thing about the NHL and the playoff system is anything can happen.
From what I understand even CNBC is going to be showing games. I'm betting they get a double-digit bump in ratings for the evening time slot.

The last 5 months of Crosby being out was a neck injury that presented as a concussion, so I'm not sure that's correct. Also, If someone takes a run at Crosby in the playoffs, with everyone watching on national TV, the Shanahammer is going to suspend them quick. But we'll see, maybe the Devs eill knock 'em off

He just reminds me of Lindros. Honestly even though I don't like the Penguins I hope I'm wrong. It's a shame when a talented player like that is dogged with any kind of recurring injury, especially concussions.
I just can't believe anyone would want to just give the Pens the Cup.

Maybe the Cats will knock off the Devils before they get a chance to match up against the Penqueens. I know history isn't on the Panthers' side but....

I think the Devils have to win the 1st round matchup at a minimum to have a chance at keeping Zack Parise. At this point i would rather lose Parise then Henrique though, but I still don't want to lose Parise.

Oh man, the Kings regular season ends with a home and away versus San Jose. This could come down to those two games, Charv!

I hear ya Mike. Sharks played really well last night against Dallas, I'm hoping that they do the same in their next game against the Stars, which would put us 3 points ahead of them. Then if the Stars could just choke at least once in their final 2 games, I think we'd make it in. We have to salvage at least 1 point from a Kings game.
