Re: No emotions?
I've never felt like that before, I'm always so anxious to get up from sleep and move around, and I'm always smiling when I'm awake, just don't know why?

Re: No emotions?
I read an account by someone who was on one of those
SSRI
medications (Zoloft, I think it was), and that was the jist of what they felt -- or failed to feel. Nothing about what had made them depressed (thus making them need to take the meds) changed, but they just didn't care any more, and all their motivation to do things kind of disappeared, but this didn't bother them in the least, except in a vague intellectual sort of way, like, "I know I ought to be doing stuff, but I'm not, I'm just sitting around watching TV, and it seems to feel ok." kind of way.
It took some time after they stopped taking them to be able to feel emotions again.
Purely anecdotal, I've never taken that kind of meds, so I can't speak from experience.

Re: No emotions?
Well, I'm NOT depressed.
That's the thing.
I've been that way before -- for about a year.
Until I woke up and realized that "life is too short" to constantly replay negative things that have happened to me over and over in my head...
I'm not DEPRESSED, I'm simply void of emotion.
It makes no sense to me!
Man, this is soo strange! Oh, and I'm not on any meds, nor will I EVER be on any meds..
That's silly!!
Maybe everyone goes through this in life.. Maybe this is my "mid-life" crisis..
Wouldnt' THAT be ridiculous!! hahahaha! Wow, that means I'll die when I'm 30 years old! YEAH RIGHT!
I'M ALREADY 2000 YEARS OLD! Well, 2011 to be exact.
Nevermind.

Re: No emotions?
This a strange thing. Void of emotion... I can't say I experienced that. When getting up out of bed, I've been miserable, bored, happy, exited, frightened, apprehensive, ecstatic... But I've never been a complete blank. How strange... I don't know how to help you on this one. Except... Maybe you just need a vacation. Like when you went to Pismo. Or maybe you need something to wake you up in the morning. Like a good cup of coffee. Or a bowl of soup. That might help.
Kind regards,
Myst and rain

Re: No emotions?
yes, when ive been VERY tired and worked lots of 100+ hour weeks in a row.
I call those days "non-days"
I just let them wash over me - its like waking up to a day with "no weather" (just grey)
dont worry, get a few early nights.
Jaden.
