apparently if you disturb them they do that run to escape nice and quickly!
i personally think its so that a predator would be too busy laughing to give chase!!

I concurr. If i was hurting one of them and all of a sudden it starting doing that, I would probably be like wtf...? 'What IS my meal doing?!'

Now THAT is a strange heriditery gene. How can something like that not of been weeded out? Does nothing ever hunt these 'Fainting Goats' and therefore the gene hasn't died? Seems to me like a severe design defect. But a funny one. Oh the hilarity of watching 8-9 goats just fall over when rushed by someone with an umbrella.
