Rounders in Ashley, PA

I'm looking at buying the bar Rounders in Ashley, PA I know there is a bit of controversy with the place but it looks great on the my space page, I'm going there tomorrow night to see the place with a buddy who's a Realtor in the area.
I somewhat know the owner, but still being relatively new to PA, I don't have the whole lay of the land...

Anybody know this bar or has anyone ever been to it

Any info would be greatly appreciated...

Well, Rounders is in Ashley. Ashley is North East of Harrisburg about 1 1/2 miles south of Wilkes-Barre. So I'm thinking Harrisburg is about 90 miles away

There is a "controversial matter" being handled by an outside agency other than th PA LCB (liquor control board). There are a few citations due to the noise of bands, but the red flag for me, until I find out more would be that "controversial matter". I don't know if it's drugs, fighting, death...??? I saw the bar last night and it's pretty small, but really done up well. The current owner claims to know nothing of the "controversial matter", but is going to look into it. He's been up front with everything so far...but we'll see.

In the meantime I'll be looking at other bars/taverns a bit closer to me...

Go to the local police dept. and let them know what you are thinking of doing. Ask them how often they are called out and what type of calls.
Ask them if there are any drug issues there and what they think of the place.
