Re: tired of ppl on youtube

I must admit I'm sick of these super-virtuoso vids. It kinda makes you think "Yeah, that's great... but try playing that in front of 5,000 people" even then I wouldn't be that impressed because I've become desensitised to it.

I can sit there all day and watch Vai, Gilbert, Friedmann, etc. noodle away on their axes because they are GOOD. Watching some guy play 5,000,000, notes a second in his bedroom just makes my clicking finger get itchy.

Re: tired of ppl on youtube

It kinda seems like people do it now just to keep the (stupid) tradition alive.

Like when you come upon an undeniably awesome Eric Johnson live tune, showcasing his amazing talent, and one comment simply states:

"F*cking blows"

That kind of ignorance doesn't lead people to EJ videos. Rather it looks like someone coudn't ignore the absence of a negative comment for the vid, and felt compelled to "balance it out".

Just a theory...

btw, yngwie sucks

not really, maybe to you, he is good for what he plays, just like Eric Johnson and Steve Vai. Three completely diffrent players.

Couldn't have said it better myself. I say let them comment. So what? I go to Youtube to watch videos, not read half-arsed comments like those. If you don't like what they post there, it's better to let them know what you think there instead of posting your disgust here where everyone here has more thatn half a brain.

Re: tired of ppl on youtube

I dont read or take any notice of the comments on youtube.
I just watch whatever I want to, and ignore everything else. If people want to post silly comments (which they usually are), let them.
