What's you daytime job?

So folks, its just struck me after posting in the what happens after you die thread that i have a job where by its varied and i'll see things that quite alot of people most won't during their lifetime including the things that are sometimes classed as taboo. I'm a multi-skilled service engineer specialising in process control with fluid chillers and thermoregulation. I also am a qualified electrician and combustion engineer. I meet lots of people and generally on the whole enjoy my work, i've been doing this for around 16 years now for various company's and take a personal interest in my clients and have pride in my work. I feel privelidged to what i do and not be bound to a desk or something less interesting.

So whst do you do then?

I have a few day jobs. My 9-to-5 (actually 8:30am to 4:30pm) is as a finance journalist for a news content supplier. But I also write for Mixdown Magazine, Australian Guitar Magazine and Australian Musician Magazine, all of which keep me quite busy!

Gooooooo PIRATES! I'm a former Pirate. Went there for 2 years before transferring.

I'm a statistic of our wonderful economy. Recently laid off mechanical engineer. I used to work on secret projects that I couldn't talk about. Actually I'm more in the aerospace realm - supersonic and hypersonic vehicles, re-entry vehicles, missiles, ramjet and scram jet engines. Now I'm waiting for that next big job. Not looking too good though. Boeing just laid off a ton of people and NASA is doing the same this week too.

In the meantime I'm working hard on my guitar business 2018 Customs.

Re: What's you daytime job?

Banker. Not the kind of thing you admit to any more.

D - "I'm Davy and this is my wife... she's a dockside prostitute.."
New acquaintance - "That's nice. What do you do?"
D - "I work in a bank."
NA - "Disgusting pervert."

I run a couple of regions and 'the rest of Africa' in the commercial property finance credit sphere - large scale housing development, industrial and retail property development and investment mainly. That means I used to be very busy with new deals and am now very busy with potential bad debts
