Blue Fixed Bridge Guitar

Hey Dave!

Just saw you in Myrtle Beach and i still have chills! Everyone was amazing and i even met Eric Sardinas!

I was just curious to know the specs of the fixed bridge, blue, H/S/S, maple neck guitar you played for most of the gig. Could you maybe tell us all about body wood, pickups, and the inspiration behind it. Maybe even some pics?

Anyway, thank you so much for playing myrtle beach and please tell the boys i said hello!

All the best,
Jon Kontalonis

Re: Blue Fixed Bridge Guitar

Hi Jon.

All that info is on my site in the guitar part of the gear section. Here's the link: www.daveweiner.com/guitars.html

I designed that one b/c I wanted a no frills guitar; something without a floyd rose. Plus I wanted a single coil in the neck b/c I love the sound of strats.

It's a killer guitar. My fav so far.

Thanks for the speedy reply!

It is good to keep it true and simple sometimes. The guitar may be simple but what you play on it is not. Your skills came out in true colors that night and i was in total awe. I left there with new respect for you as a performer and an artist! Thanks for a life changing experience!

So the DiMarzio Blazes are the closest to a Strat sound you could find? Just curious, I may be replacing my stock UV pups when I restore it.

EDIT: Never mind. I see on DiMarzio's site that those are the only single coil 7 pups they make. ???????

Re: Blue Fixed Bridge Guitar

exactly, not much choice on the single coil pups. But they definitely get the job done.

A note about the blue 7 strat... I broke a string tonight right at the beginning of Love Blood. Did I need to get a new guitar? Nope. The thing stayed in perfect tuning. I love hard tails!
