Comments about Dave´s Tour Diary

NOTE: I don´t want this thread to be used to diss Dave, Steve or the rest of the guys, or be used to discuss about the tour, this thread is ONLY to comment about Dave´s view of the tour.

I hope we can restrict to the theme of the thread and be respectul and mature about this. Remember that in order to have others respect our particular point of view, we have to respect their point of view.

Personal point of view below.

Wow, I´m glad the guys are finally touring. I´ve been listening to RI and I just love it. I think all the guys are going to have a great time with this material, Dave I´m sure that playing it as often as you guys will do , it will gel perfectly.

Yeah you make sense about the auto pilot comment, I felt the same when I had to expose a certain thing in college. I´m not 100% fond about doing something infront of people (talking or playing (I have played in public... I admire how you can deal with 100s of faces infront of you every single night of a tour)), but I find that if I practice long enough I can manage my stage fright and enjoy it.

About in-ears it can be a bit weird at first but you get used to it. I have seen some players that use them that they keep one in their ear and leave the other ear free to hear the audience response. Don´t worry you´ll find "the spot" (the place where you feel comfortable).

Good luck with the lap top setup. sooner or later it will work.

Good luck in the tour and have fun.

Re: Comments about Dave´s Tour Diary

Funny story about performing infront of a lot of people. A while back me and my band were playing a battle of the bands and the sound guy was being a real jerk. He was treating us like a bunch of rookies and all. He finally ended with the question (to prove his superiority) "what's the biggest show you've played" and to this on of the bands answered "five hundred people" and the bassist in my band responded "I've played the Palladium." (which I might add was true) and the guy fell silent. It was a really funny moment and we went out and proceeded to put on a nice three song set and rank well. There's my anecdote and I hope you all enjoyed my addition to the performing thread. More on topic I can't wait to see the tour in Boston and I shall be most definitely anxious to hear A) live RI:R, and B) new Dave solo piece!!!

Dave, I hope further down on the tour you can record your new solo piece and upload it on the website.

Part 2:

Oh Dave, I´m sorry to read you´re sick.

You eat well, take your medicine and rest as much as you can or I´ll make you do that, remember I´m a Jedi and I really kick butts , naaaaaahh just kidding ya, Dave.

But please do take care , we want you around for years and years happy, healthy and creating that great music that comes from your heart, soul and mind.

Wow it´s great that Eric and Johnny joined you guys... I envy the lucky ducks that were there to witness that.

I hope tons of people buy STSA and the nation and later the world get Weinerised (wow... The Brain spoked for a sec, hehehe).

T-shirts soon available on the site? cool!!! just dont forget about those tongs I suggested (http://www.jemsite.com/forums/showth...ghlight=thongs) .

That´s it for now.

Rest and take care, Dave.

MJ.

Wot up Dave, where did your "inspiration" go during the Memphis show on
3/8. She must have vamped out before the show ended. I was hoping
you would have come out to the meet and greet after the show.

Re: Comments about Dave´s Tour Diary

Moro: Dave has stickied it. Second thread of the page, right under the one called Dave Weiner Forum.

I began this thread because that one is locked, meaning you cant reply on it, the only one that can add something in that thread is Dave.
