1)what good books on composing would you recommend?

Hmm.. that I don't really know. I've never read a book on composing.


Well, we were all supposed be on one track as a band, but that fell through due to a lack of time. But as for the whole cd, I guess it's for the same reason I don't need any other guitarists on my own recordings. Steve's more than capable.

How do you go about writing your own music?
Do you come up with a riff and take it from there or...?

I come up with a concept, melody, rhythm or drum track in my head, then create it.
