Dave, whats so special about the japanese DS-1,


Im getting one but i dont know why there sp special, better parts, otr is it thew value that they dont make them anymore, im not sure. i wanted to ask you because you know your stuff. Now on a another note i wanted to know whats the next best thing to a TS-9FLEXI KEELY MODDED pedal. its way too outrageous of a price in cana, $400, i cant remeber but i might of told you this. srry if i did. well i hope to see steve and you come to toronto soon, ive never seen a vai show, or a big concert in my life, so i hope you guys come, saw the band GRADY once with the guitar player GORDY JOHNSON. there great. uh oh im babbling on, welll i hope to here from you on this thread.

In general, the Japanese made guitar products have better construction/parts than Korean or Chinese-made products. However, you could also speculate that the only reason products made in those regions are cheaper is because of cheaper wages. Ultimately, unless you can actually hear the difference, I wouldn't worry about it.

If you're getting a DS-1, they're only $35 and it should be modified by Keeley anyway so the origin of it's part are pretty inconsequential.

yeah i already have one but i was thinking of getting another one of **** and getting it modded by keely, the ultra mod. but yeah thanx, i think it might be worth some money some day too, o well nse to have gear thats not made anymore.
