Dave with Steve Vai in Melbourne

Did anyone catch this show (come to think of it, is anyone that posts on dave's forums from australia at all?). Awesome show, only the second time i've ever heard dave's work, first time was on the G3 Denver DVD, and i got to see him live which needless to say was pretty awesome. Steve vai got the whole melbourne audience to chant weiner weiner, and i wonder if dave appreciated that :P But all in all a great show, with a terrific performance from dave, going out this evening and buying the album pronto! Keep playing dave.

Hi guys, I was blown away yet again by the whole Steve Vai band in Melbourne last Sunday. I've seen Steve all 3 times he has played there now (along with 2 David Lee Roth Shows an atternity ago).
But the difference this time was that I was there to see not just one guitar hero but 3. Steve, Tony and Dave. (4 including Billy)
I bought Dave's CD. It is great.
Catchy melodies, hot tones, killer licks and very clean & clear picking.
I can't wait to hear his next release.
I think Vai and Satch should forget about Johnson, Petrucci, Malmsteen & Fripp for the next round of G3.....they have Tony & Dave who could easily fill that spot.
Apart from having to spend the night at a below standard venue, looking at the backs of peoples heads it was still an awesome gig.
Can't wait to see them all again....
