Dave's band and stuff..

Hey, I'm generally new to these forums so I better get my preaching out the way now!

Well I bought the Vai in London DVD a while ago and was totally impressed by Dave's playing, and his general attitude on the special features. But I started checking his site after I bought the G3 DVD ages ago, and though I've not yet got a copy of his CD (cash problems, damn being a student) I've been totally hooked to the samples on his site. And I god damn love Daves Party Piece, its such a unique track, one of my top three tracks off the Vai DVD. I sat down and learned it all the other day, and get some really great reactions whenever I play it for people. Keep up the good work Dave, its great!

But anyways, I was just curious to see if he is considering making an album soon, or doing a tour with his own band? I really think he has the talent and flare to be the next guitar guru! The sooner he does so the better!

Re: Dave's band and stuff..

Iīm not Dave Val, but Dave has said here that he will do another disc next year (if my memory serves my right... there is a thread here where Dave discussed that , but I donīt remember the name of the thread).
And he plans to start playing his own music with a band as soon as he can.

BTW, welcome to the forum Val.

Hey Val.

Thanks for the great comments. I truly appreciate your support!

I do hope to do a new cd this year and have it out by mid 06 at the latest. Of course, I'll have more details on my site as they arise!

Keep in touch
Dave

Wow, my memory wasnīt that bad after all. There you go, Val... as vox populi says "strait from the horseīs mouth".

Dave, take your time, we can be patient... specially yours trully.. I waited and waited for JPīs album and although It was finally *Que to BIG Chrous singing Handelīs Hallelujah* released on 03-01-05 for sell in his website I still have to wait to get it...I still cant get to the checkout point and Iīve been patiently trying at least 3 times a day since that day.
