Daves last name
hey dave, listen man, my girlfriend and I, and possibly the rest of the planet, have a question.............how in the hell do you pronounce your last name? I meant to ask you this when you guy's were @ Ziggy's, but I got caught up in the atmosphere, anyway.......is it "weiner" as in Oscar Meyer or is it "weiner" as in child crying/whining? No disrespect intended, just am really curious, if nothing more than to end the debate between my girlfriend and I.......peace out man................frethound

Re: Daves last name
Everytime I've heard it pronounced it's like Oscar meyer! He says "wee-ner" on the video section, so I take it that's what it is. and did you happen to catch Tony's shirt "I trip on my own weiner" with the picture of the daschund?

Re: Daves last name
My last name is pronounced Weeeeeeener. It's a derivative of a family name from generations ago. I get asked: 1) did you get made fun of as a kid and the answer is no not really. I dunno why, just never really did, minus the obvious jokes that last about 3 seconds. And 2) why don't you choose a professional name... I'm not gonna change it cuz you'll never forget Weiner.

Re: Daves last name
Though I'm about as non-homophobic as a guy could get, I don't think I'd
ever
wear a shirt that said
"GOT WEINER?"
on it. Leaves
waaaaay
too much open to interpretation.

Re: Daves last name
Yeah dump the shirt idea,,,lol. I don't think I would want my wife to wear one either.... I was thinking maybe just the people selling daves stuff,,,but then agian... maybe a big silk banner would be better over for everyone...lol.

Re: Daves last name
Love it! It's hilarious!! I had to use it! Maybe it doesn't work well on a T-Shirt, but looks good as an effect Patch name! Had set this patch setup for playin "Dave's Party Piece." Betcha never thought you'd be an effects setting on people's rigs, eh Dave!

Re: Daves last name
Funny story: I was visiting with some family over the weekend, including a few very young cousins. I brought along my
Dave Weiner
CD and put it on. Everyone there seemed to like the music. Well, my cousin Summer, who is only 8 years old, goes looking for the CD envelope to see who's playing, and this is what I hear from the other room: "His name is WEINER?!?!" All the young kids there could not stop laughing. The adults got a chuckle out of it, too.
As you say Dave, no one there who heard your name will ever forget it!
And while I've got your attention, Dave, thank you so much for your music! Shove the Sun Aside is one of the freshest albums I've heard in a long time, and is way up there in my CD rotation.
