Drums on STSA?

I'm guessing they're programmed, right? I was just wondering because I remember reading that Dave had to edit the drum tracks to get rid of the silence or something weird like that.

The drums are real. Virgil donati played on "Long Run" and Steve Wilson played drums on the other tracks. What you are referring to were drum edits that I did. However, I also programed some drums for texture here and there using a program called Reason and from a few various sources. I like the contrast of the two.

Huh! I just figured since they're not credited on the CD sleeve that you did everything. Cool. Thanks for the answer.

Hey Ekim.

All the credits are on the website:

www.daveweiner.com/stsa.html

Then use the drop-down menu to "STSA Credits"

Take care.

Yeah, I already found that. Thanks for posting, though. I cannot wait to get my drum room set up in a few weeks (buying a house).

Man, this CD rocks. I'm actually NOT listening to it cuz I have a habit of over-listening to CDs, then getting really sick of them. You're on the list of stuff I'm not listening to with Vai's boxed set, Planet X, Victor Wooten and the Petrucci/Rudess duet CD (among others). Pretty good company, eh?
