Melbourne concert gear

Just wanted to see if you guys who were at the Melbourne concert noticed that Dave was using a Mesa cab that looked like a steel checker plate design on the sides with what I think was a Marshall JCM2000.
Steve also had a Marshall head in his pile 'o gear and Tony was using a JCM900 rig (I think)
And Steve was using 2 Mesa cabs with gaffa tape over the Mesa badge. (I think)
Does anybody know a reason for the move away from the Carvin gear?

Maybe it didn't sound nice for the specific venue.

The fact that the badge was taped over does show that he's still a Carvin guy...

Yep, it was explained over @ vai.com that several items weren't shipped over for practial reasons.

Steve was using a borrowed Carvin legacy head from a guy from Adelaide.

The marshall head was only used as a back-up.

A marshall combo was used for the triple neck but you can read all about it when I finish my article on Steve's set up.

Hey all..

We used the Marshall stuff b/c we just rented gear instead of having our stuff shipped over. I'm usually not a fan of Marshalls but these amps were decent.
