Metal G3??

im sorry maybe this isnt in the right place, but i heard somewhere they were doin a Metal G3 with metal guitarists.....mick thompson and afew others anyone heard this or maybe have some confirmation??

my 2 suggestions will be alex sckolnick and marty friedman. marty just might get lost in his oriental ting-tong.

im not overly familiar with those players, but i've listened to some of their bands' songs. do they have any instrumental stuff they'd possibly use? i think this would be rather cool, although it'd prolly turn into an awfully long shredfest!

i think the only guitarrist i know of that is in a band and has a solo album is John Petrucci.

The latest G3 in Japan is including Marty as a guest artist

The original project included Mick, Zakk Wilde and Dimebag Darrell. After Dimebag death I donīt know what happened to the project.

Marty (megadeth) Friedman has a few solo albums that he put out before joining deth. I have one called Kiss of the Dragon......some pretty good stuff.

So sad his playing was so inventive and unique..........it was a sad day i must admit. At least he went out in flames I guess
