Next tabs?

What do you guys want to have tabs for next?

Eventually, I'm going to put out a complete tab book with a backing track cd. Hopefully by the end of the year

Re: Next tabs?

Maybe you could do a bit further on the Long Run riff. From 00:50 to 01:10. That's my favorite part

Or maybe on Shove the Sun Aside track, get that riff in the middle from 03:60 to 03:47 with the pedal notes on it

Are you going to sell it on your site? A BT CD is an awesome idea.

Re: Next tabs?

a tab book with backing tracks...that truly is a great idea !
Will those be the actual tracks from the cd, without the lead guitar ?

tabs..do some fast stuff from monument shine(before 2nd chorus), or the ghost of dmrk.street.

I just had the best image of Bela Fleck and Dave Weiner tearing it up on stage! umm my vote goes to Tourmaline...some of the interweaving acoustic and electric parts are really nice!

Re: Next tabs?

Definitely Tourmaline. One of the best melodies I've ever heard, hands down, and my personal favorite track on the CD.

Re: Next tabs?

since so many fans seem to not play 7-strings, a n y song tabbed specifially for 6 strings would be cool, but maybe too much to ask, im not sure, i have no idea about the work involved.

Re: Next tabs?

The backing track CD is a great idea, and I wish more artists would do it. The tab is great, but if you have no backing to play over (assuming you're not in a good band)...what good is it?

Ha! The investment in my UV777BK pays off now and again. I still, after two years, have all the grace of a monkey humping a football with it most times, but every once in a while, I manage to spit out something that makes that guitar sound like buttah... playing out some of Dave's tabs has helped force me to learn the 7th string a bit more.

I don't care what you tab next. Much to every one else's chagrin, I hope it's aimed at 7-string players.

Re: Next tabs?

Well, thanks for the TABs so far-I can't stop playing the bits of 'Long Run' you've done so far-they really great and I'm looking forward to heading down to the guitar shop and showing off!

I agree that the next few 'sections' of Long Run would be nice to see in TAB.

As to the seven string headache for us six stringers-well it takes a bit of inventiveness to play that stuff-albeit in a higher octave! Remember, we should pity seven string players-they have neither the talent nor intelligence to be creative on a six string-the gods will reward them in the next life.

Anil

PS I'm joking before people start getting hot under the collar!
