Some History?
Hi Dave,
I was just wondering how you came across the opportunity to join Steve's band?
I'm guessing that there were some demanding auditions involved.

No, no auditions. Here's the short version:
I was interning for Vai's manager while I was going to GIT. I was asked to record a demo by some recording students. I mentioned it to Steve. He asked to hear it. I gave it to him when I was done. He got back to me a few weeks later and said he liked my playing and asked if I wanted to go on tour. I said yes. He said learn these 14 songs and bring your guitar to the studio on Monday. I said ok.
hahaha I know that's a very cut and dry and non-emotional version. But that's the skinny.

Of course you would say yes!
And Steve is harsh, 14 songs!
